Pittsburgh Penguins Sidney Crosby has decided to decline the invitation to attend this years World Championship.
Crosby’s agent, Pat Brisson says his client would like to spend next four months training and working towards next season.
Due to his concussion issues, Crosby wasn’t able to train last summer as aggressively as he would be accustomed to during previous off seasons. Crosby who also had lingering issues throughout this season, is said to being wanting to be 100 percent ready for the Penguins training camp.
The Penguins captain, who has represented Canada at the World Junior Championship, World Championship and the Winter Olympics in years past, had eight goals and 37 points in 22 NHL games this season.
